MADE USING

Spool of metal

Galvalume

Galvalume Steel Sheets: Aluminum-Zinc Alloy Coated Steel Sheets (GL) are galvanized steel sheets with both zinc and aluminum, and are the ideal combination of anti-corrosion and alkali-resistance of zinc and the durability, heat-resistance, and acid-resistance of aluminum.

3M Granules

3M roofing granules which provide long lasting weather resistant protection in an array of colors.  3M granules are granite chip based, dense non-porous UV-ray resistant and tough enough to stand up under handling. Made of a natural mineral product coated in ceramic, the granules meet the toughest tests of time, weather and marketplace.

Multi-Layer Tech

The Roser Stone Coated Steel System is created using one of the most complicated manufacturing processes in the industry. A single stone coated steel panel is made up of six key layers that have been specifically engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions while maintaining structure and appearance.

INDUSTRY LEADING

PERFORMANCE

Structural

The greatest structural burden on the house comes from the roof. A heavy roof will cause the house to shift and settle, causing cracks and structural misalignment. These effects may be evident as early as three to five years after installation. All national building codes dictate that if the weight of the roofing material exceeds six pounds per square foot then the residence will require additional structural support. This will often incur additional expenses for structural analysis, materials, and installation. Additionally, older homes that require re-roofing are often in need of structural reinforcement when using concrete, clay tile, or fiber-cement.

Weighing at average of 1.4 pounds per square foot, a Roser roof is an ideal solution for homes or commercial projects that cannot be structurally altered, or when structural changes would incur significant costs. A Roser Stone Coated Steel Roof was not only designed to decrease structural load on a residence.  It also improves the structural integrity of the house through an interlocking fastener system, providing significant reinforcement during physical stresses such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and hail storms.

Homeowners and installers often choose Roser for applications for where they want the look of tile or shake, but cannot go with concrete or cement due to weight restrictions.  Additionally, Roser Tile, Shake and Shingle profiles are offered in a greater variety of colors then concrete, cement or asphalt roofs.

Hurricane Resistant System

Roser is a preferred roofing system in areas with  high velocity winds. Certified with the rigorous Miami-Dade approval, the Roser Stone Coated Steel roof provides industry leading hurricane coverage. During exposure to high velocity winds, roofing shingles, concrete tiles, or shakes, will often rip off the house exposing the underlayment and roof decks. A Roser roof, however, can be considered a single unit because of its interlocking profile and fastener system, which is especially resistant against upward driving winds.  In fact, the Roser warranty covers against hurricane force winds of up to 120 miles per hour.

The interlocking profile is an excellent protection from debris, which is known to break and tear up cement and asphalt shingles.  The Roser panel, with its steel core, maintains its structure upon impact of 2.5″ hailstones, thus making it a premier performer in the industry.   The Stone Coated Steel Roof system is highly recommended in every part of the country that has a high hurricane potential.

Fire Safety

Roser is a premier solution in areas that have a potential for wildfires due to its class A fire rating. The steel core and 3M granules are non-combustible materials which means that the Stone Coated Steel System is an exceptional first line of defense for burning cinders or other fire-causing materials. The interlocking profile does not allow embers to fall through any section of the roof, and acts as a single, non-permeable unit.

Collapsing roofs during a fire are a significant safety concern.  Most types of roofs will fall in sections from weight and lack of interconnectedness.  Every section of a Roser Roof is interlocked as as a single, lightweight unit.

The air gap between the roofing panels and the roof underlayment dissipates heat by creating a convection current. This is not only a great energy saver during hot or cold periods but is the reason for the effectiveness of the Roser system in an event of an external fire.

Hailstorm Protection

The Roser 26 gauge steel roofing system is an unparalleled solution in areas susceptible to hail storms. The industrial grade warranty coverage extends to 2.5’ inch hailstones, making it ideal for homeowners. Hailstones are known to cause thousands of dollars worth in damage to roofing structures, requiring extensive repair and in some cases complete re-roofing. Clay, concrete tiles, fiber cement, composition shingles, and cedar shakes will often crack, shatter, and displace during hail storms. In some cases, debris can pose a danger to occupants.

In 1996, Underwriters Laboratories developed Test Standard UL 2218 to gauge the hail resistance of roofs on a four point scale. Steel balls are dropped from different heights on the roofing material to test the resistance of the roof and simulate a hailstorm. If the roofing material is given a rating of one, then it’s the most susceptible to damage during a hailstorm. A rating of 4 indicates that it’s the best the roofing material available to residential and commercial projects.

As an example, a standard wood shake roof receives a Class 1 UL rating while a typical asphalt shingle roof will receive a rating of 2 or 3. The Roser Roofing System is given a Class 4 rating which is the highest in the industry. The interconnected panel system dissipates impact across the roofing structure, minimizing damage potential. The 26 gauge steel is among the toughest roofing materials available.

Class 4 rated products are qualified for home insurance premium reductions because they increase safety characteristics of the house. Some homeowners reported that they saved as much as a thousand dollars in their annual premiums. Houses in hailstorm areas typically require re roofing as often as 15 years when protected by standard shake or shingles.  A Roser Roof, engineered for impact resistance, is backed by a 50 year warranty which includes hail damage.

Earthquake

An earthquake can cause a roof to shift and dislodge its heavy shake and tile shingles. This can create a danger of falling debris. When an earthquake shakes the frame of the house and the roofing materials are heavy enough, then some of the framing parts can dislodge, causing a partial or total roof collapse. Many houses, after going through an earthquake have been left flattened or partially destroyed because heavy roofs have caused too much stress on the structure.

During an earthquake, the Roser Roofing System exhibits the best performance when compared to other roofing materials. Weighing in at only 1.4 pounds per square foot, Roser places minimal stress on the house frame.  Additionally, the interlocking panel system reinforces the house structure.

Energy Efficiency

“Metal roofing is rapidly gaining acceptance as a very energy-efficient material. Property owners have reported energy savings of as high as 20% and even more after installing metal roofing. The reflectivity and subsequent energy efficiency of metal roofing has been confirmed in studies done by Florida Solar Energy Center, Florida Power and Light, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and other independent organizations. Ongoing studies are conducted to continually substantiate and quantify the energy efficiency of metal roofing.”
“Prepainted metal roofing can display solar reflectance of at least 65% and thermal emittance of 80%. This can have a tremendous impact on energy usage by reducing air conditioning costs and the smog and pollution that are created by the production of that energy. Additionally, the low thermal mass of metal roofing means that it dissipates heat very quickly once the sun goes behind a cloud or sets for the day. Other roofing materials have greater thermal mass and will continue to radiate captured heat into the structures beneath them even when the sun is not shining”
